Please join me in supporting real change in the lactation community by helping me fundraise for BreastfeedLA to further my perinatal education in becoming a Certificated Lactation Educator Consultant.
BreastfeedLA and I are working hard to change the landscape of breast/chestfeeding within our respective communities.
Individuals such as African Americans, people of color, people from low socio-economic communities, and other marginalized populations all face substantial barriers that are often overlooked. The biases that families must overcome exist in prenatal care, the hospital, delivery room, postpartum care, dealing with insurance, access to pumps and lactation support, as well as transitioning going back to work.
As a Full Spectrum Doula, Childbirth Educator, Registered Prenatal and Postnatal Yoga Teacher and Certified Fitness Coach, becoming a Certificated Lactation Educator Consultant will help me remove these barriers of inequity and the stigma around breast/chestfeeding within the BIPOC community. Will you join my efforts in supporting families today?
