I need your help! Join me in inciting real change. For the past 3 years I have dedicated my time to support advancing BreastfeedLA's (BFLA) movement towards increasing the landscape of Black, Indigenous, People of Color (BIPOC) lactation professionals. In general, moving from a breastfeeding Peer Counselor (PC) to International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) has been not only expensive, but also difficult because of the challenge to find a preceptorship (aka Internship). In this time, BFLA has worked tirelessly to create and provide an affordable lactation specialist training, and a few months ago became officially certified as a IBCLC training provider.
My goal over the next few weeks is to raise $1300 which will cover two scholarships
